Create a Related Work Order

Use Create a Related Work order to create a work order in Office for AMS. The asset type and work order template are automatically selected based on the asset attached to the permit, but can be changed if desired.

PREREQUISITES:

  1. From the Main panel, click Create a Related Work order.

Create a Related Work Order from the Main Panel

The Select Template, General, and Selected Assets panels open. See Create an Attached Work Order in the Office and Tablet 15.8 for AMS Guide for more information.

  1. Once a work order is created, scroll to the Related Work Activities panel.
  1. Click the Id of the case in the Permits section to return to the case.

The work order ID, description, status, and link type display at the bottom of the Main panel of the case. The Link Type in the lower-right identifies the linked case as a Parent or Child link type for PLL cases and Related for service requests, work orders, and inspections.

NOTE: Inspections can only be created from or linked to PLL cases in Respond. If an inspection has been linked to a case using Respond, that inspection is shown in the list of related work activities on the Main panel.
